Rihanna Advert Analysis
The adverts of the artist and their CD’s are released to let the audience know about the release. Normally more than one is brought out to keep the audience entertained and giving them the desire to want more and finally go and buy the product. Rihanna focuses a lot on imagery throughout her products, probably because people find images more appealing than a lot of writing especially when the images are of her. Rhianna has been used as the background to this advert to help it appeal to the audience; the bright colour pallet used in the image brings the image to life. The redness of her hair and lips keeps the audience gazing at the advert to enable them to read what it is about also making her looking provocative to both men and women. The word ‘LOUD’ is something that catches your eye firstly because of the size of the writing the fact that it has spaces in between the letters and also the colour of the writing is different which makes people focus on this. I think the release date at the very bottom of page is the next most eye-catching part of the poster because the background uses a gradient to fade the picture out into blackness the white text shows up well on the background catching the audience’s attention.

Shot Count Task: Rita Ora-How We Do (Party)
I have decided to choose the video in my shot count task because i feel the artist in the video is someone we would want to base our music video around because of the type of songs she produces. Her style is original and unique which makes Rita different from other artists. This task was created to make us count all of the different shots throughout different music videos so that we can get a average number of shots to help us when it comes to creating our music video. To do this task i needed to be focused fully on the video as it was a fast paced and I knew there would be a lot of shots used in the video to keep to the beat of the song. The number of shots i had witnessed when counting was 213 in the 3:59 seconds video. The video mainly consisted of close up and medium shots of the singer and others in the background. Within the music video there are 7 different scenes with Rita Ora in with a different outfit on in each scene, switching to and from each scene throughout the video according to the beat in the song. The song is called "How We Do (Party)" which is what is shown, they are dancing, drinking and having fun. There isn't really any choreography done in the video as it is just full of people dancing around the artist. Some weird costumes like people with rabbit heads on keeping peoples attention on the music video.
Julian Opie Picture Firstly, I used photo booth to take a picture of myself so that i could edit it in Photoshop to create the image needed. I firstly used magnetic lasso to outline my hair, once i had done this i had used the eyedropper tool to get a close colour to my hair then filled it in. Using the same tool i outlined my face and the features on my face then again using the eyedropper tool to get correct colours for my face, eyebrows and lips. I then used the tool to outline my clothing and filled it in with the correct colours, also adding detail to my jacket to make it look realistic. I feel that if i had to do this task again i would be a lot more confident as i know what i am doing a lot more and i feel the colours i used for my hair, face, clothes were as close as i could get as i used the tool to do this which i think has helped make the picture look more like me. I would also be a bit more careful when doing the outlines of my face and neck if i had the chance to do this again.
